CYCLING

All levels of Mountain Biking are catered for with the Les Carroz Kedeuse lift opening from 4 July to 30 August. Bikes and equipment can be hired from a number of local shops. A popular route is to start from les Carroz and ride between the valleys of the Giffre and Arve rivers, attaining a height of 2500m (8,300 feet), via the Flaine gondola from where the view of the Mont Blanc range are breathtaking.

A brand new downhill trail from the top of the Kédeuze lift has been opened which is 3984m long and 600 m of altitude variation

Road bike routes, as you would expect are extensive. This year, Stage 17 of the Tour de France passed close by through the villages of Araches and La Frasse on Wednesday 22 July. This proved to be a great spectacle and we are looking forward to next years Tour.

Les Carroz also hosts the VTTticime, a 2 day cycle fest for mountain bikes, which is takes place toward the end of July.
